FAQs

What is the maximum number of people that can be in the audience?

One base station is able to collect votes from 4095 keypads. However it is not possible to get this amount of people in range and so with large audiences you may require additional base stations (see range information below)

What is the maximum range of the CLiKAPAD voting system?

For information on range please see the CLiKAPAD Base Station - Max Performance Guide

How long do batteries in a keypad last?

This depends on the level of use - with heavy use (three or more times a week) you may need to replace the batteries after 6 months.
With lighter use (once a week or less) the keypads will last a year or more on the same set of batteries.

As well as level of use the way in which the keypads are used will have an effect on battery life.
Battery life is reduced when...
- keypads are used in conjunction with a detector/sentry
- keypads are used in a large universe, the larger the universe size the longer it takes the base station to collect all the votes. Therefore the keypads will be trying to vote for a longer period of time.
